Opportunities to learn from FIRST’s Network Security SIG
The Network Security Special Interest Group – NetSEC SIG – is the one of the newest SIGs within the Forum of Incident Response Teams (FIRST). Chair of the Network SIG, John Kristoff, will outline the group’s composition, mission, and opportunities for threat intelligence and other security leaders in the telecom sector to participate.
John is the co-chair of the FIRST NETSEC-SIG, a co-founder of Dataplane.org, a PhD candidate in computer science at the University of Illinois Chicago, an adjunct faculty member at DePaul University, an ICANN Research Fellow, and a NETSCOUT Principal Analyst.
About FIRST
The NETSEC SIG is a new special interest group under the umbrella of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST.org). The SIG aims to advance the deployment of network security best common practices, help coordinate inter-network mitigation, and foster information sharing between autonomous systems.
