With its new Telecommunications (Security) Act, the UK is leading a new wave of intensified regulation of the telecom sector in leading markets around the world. Regulators and legislators in other markets such as the European Union, Canada, Australia, Singapore, even the United States, are looking to follow suit with their own new rules imposing new cybersecurity requirements on the telecom sector.
